The World Affairs Council of Spokane seeks to cultivate an informed international worldview in the Inland Northwest, to encourage people of all ages to participate in the international community, and to build friendship, understanding, and peace throughout the world. Our group is part of the nation’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dealing with international issues.

Our speaker series is designed to provide specific insights on international issues relevant to our community and region. Council members have the opportunity to interact face to face with visiting experts in a question and answer forum.

Our global classroom program involves young people in world affairs by bringing international curriculum and speakers into our schools. The combination of forums and classroom involvement offers families the opportunity to have conversations about things that matter. Everyone can learn more about today’s global issues, conflicts, and challenges
